The Full Court of the Family Court re-states the law that one person’s ‘skill set’ that lead a husband and his wife in their 9-year marriage, to enjoy growth in their matrimonial assets from nil to many millions of dollars, was equal in the eyes of the law, to the wife’s contribution in raising their only child; helping oversee renovations on some houses; and supporting her husband’s career.
It is the exception rather than the rule, that one person to the relationship will be awarded more of the asset pool due to their additional ‘contributions’.
